As the cinema in the heart of Wellington's film industry, The Roxy makes for the ideal cinema for feature and short film premieres. We have hosted many film premieres in the past for short student films, independent films, NZ made features and blockbusters including Hunt For the Wilderpeople (2016) and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012). 

The Roxy is home to two cinemas: 

Cinema 1 - 164 seats 

Cinema 2 - 55 seats 

Designed as a limited seating, canape function space, our Grand Lobby makes for the ideal party space for any premiere. 

In this space, you can enhance your visual experience by theming the space with personalized projection mapping. 

As we are based in Miramar, we are in very close proximity to the airport and just a short drive from the CBD.

Our dedicated events team are highly experienced in planning and hosting parties, conferences, weddings, ceremonies, dinners and everything in between.
