Misery (1990)

Friday 23rd July 8:30pm

'Sometimes being stuck inside on a winters night for too long could be torture. There is Misery afoot.'
You’ve seen the best of Stephan King in cinema with such films like IT, THE SHINING and CARRIE. But none can compare to the masterful performance of obsession and horror from the flawless Cathy Bates in MISERY.

After a famous author is rescued from a car crash in the wintery pines of Nevada he is remarkably rescued by none other than his most dedicated fan. Whilst recovering in the care of his new saviour he slowly realizes that being locked up with a dedicated fan only spells Misery when he want’s to leave'.

“Feel the rhythm, feel the Rhyme! Get on up, it’s bobsled time” at The Roxy with COOL RUNNINGS.

In 1993 Disney brought an eternally well loved film COOL RUNNINGS. A film based on true events about the worlds first Jamaican Bobsled Team to enter the 1988 Olympic games held in Canada!

Derice Bannock, a Jamaican sprinter is disqualified from the summer Olympic games after tripping on the track. Determined to stay in the game, he enlists the help of a dishonored coach to start the First Jamaican Bobsled Team. This movie is as heart warming as the Jamaican climate. Bring the whole family to experience the rhythm and rhyme of this Classic Disney Movie.
